Boasting year-round al fresco dining, Dalloway Terrace, Bloomsbury is a rather unique restaurant with seasonally evolving décor.
Most recently, it’s been transformed into an enchanting autumnal woodland, curated by McQueens Flowers and in partnership with Johnnie Walker Black Label.
Gold and copper bark, burnished leaves, foliage, lanterns, and fairy lights now fill the terrace, as if someone had distilled the very essence of autumn.
Our Love for Logos with Hidden Meaning
The simple depiction of a three-pointed star represents the company's intention to dominate on land, sea, and air.
With a razor cut through the “G” and “i”, the masculine logo uses bold lettering to give a sense of threat whilst the initialisation is intended to denote speed.
Nike is actually a Greek goddess that personifies victory, and the 'swoosh' as it is commonly known represents the goddess' wing as an indication of movement and speed.
Known for its technology, the Sony Vaio logo represents the integration of both analog and digital technologies. The ‘va’ has the look of an analog wave, while ‘io’ resembles the numbers 1 and 0 of a digital signal or binary code.
More obviously, the bow tie relates to a gentlemen-only approach to matchmaking, whilst more subtly representing the face to face meeting of man and woman.
The Equestrian Knight first appeared c.1901 accompanied by the Latin word Prorsum meaning “forward”. Highly befitting of a brand whose patented fabric was first used by real-life adventurers, aviators and military men.
Sail Away With Me
There is perhaps nothing more magical than being on the water as the sun sets.
With champagne on arrival, fresh flowers, a skipper and crew, see London in all its glory from the deck of your own private yacht.
As you meander down the Thames, past some of the capital’s most spectacular sights, your personal chef will prepare a Michelin-standard dining experience, guaranteed to make it a night the two of you will never forget.
(and neither does a lady)...
Married since 1997, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick clearly believe in this increasingly forgotten concept.
“The secret is, we don’t discuss [our relationship]. To reporters or anybody else. That’s it!”
Finding someone who shares your values is often pivotal to the long-term success of the relationship.
Just because there's no immediate spark...
Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault have been happily married for over a decade, but their first date did not go well!
“I was set up by friends to think I was going to an event, because they knew I wouldn’t go on a date! I was angry. And he didn’t know, because he thought I knew he was coming just to meet him. It started out really badly, but, as you can see, it ended happy.”
Sting & Trudi Styler have been married for 27 years and reportedly enjoy a very physical relationship - but it seems the secret to their longevity isn’t just a healthy sex life…
“We’re friends too. We love each other, but we actually like each other — and that’s an important distinction. Love is passion and all of that stuff, but actually liking somebody and enjoying someone’s company is something slightly different, and it lasts longer. So you can have both, and I think that’s important. Be married to your best friend.” - Sting

5 Reasons To Fall In Love, From A Distance
Getting to know a woman you can’t touch lays the foundation for an old-school romance. The building of an emotional bond leads to an even stronger physical bond once you do eventually make love.
When words are all you have, she gets to know the real you - not the persona you embody when you’re nervous or trying to impress.
If you’re looking for a relationship to stand the test of time, ’friends first' allows you to see each other’s character before things become blurred by sexual intentions.
You learn that time spent alone, is just as important as time spent together. Relationships can quickly and easily become all-consuming. Distance establishes healthy boundaries, allowing you both time and space to breathe.
Your first date will be unlike any other. You’ll be relaxed and familiar with each other; and those dreaded first date nerves will be replaced with excitement and thrilling anticipation!
Classic Dinner à Deux
Allow us to reserve the best table in one of Europe’s most romantic restaurants.
The desirable glass-roofed conservatory is bedecked in a forest of foliage and blossoms that seem to extend into eternity as they bounce off the restaurant’s mirrors.
Twinkling fairy lights, candles and a fireplace add to the undeniably romantic ambience.
What's She Hiding?
Whilst Johnny Depp has been fighting a very costly and public battle to clear his name, it would be interesting to know if he knew - before he married her - that Amber Heard had been arrested for misdemeanour domestic violence.

3 Reasons Men Should Wear Pink
As a variation of red, pink is a colour of confidence and power. In fact, studies have shown that men who wear pink are more likely to earn more.
Not only is pink a stand-out colour, it’s also extremely versatile and actually enhances the complexion of almost any man.
Women are drawn to pink, and are naturally more attracted to men wearing pink.

Marriage may be the natural progression for many; but for Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell staying happily uncoupled has been the secret to their longterm success.
“A lasting relationship isn’t about marriage, it’s about compatibility and communication. And you both need to want it to work.”
- Goldie Hawn
Former Tennis Pro Anna Kournikova and Spanish Superstar Enrique Iglesias have been together since 2001, have 3 children but allegedly never tied the knot.
Married? "I always try, but she pays me no attention."
- Enrique Iglesias
Proof that marriage isn't for everyone.
For three decades (and counting) Oprah & Stedman have enjoyed a loving and supportive relationship, yet never married.
"Our relationship works because we relish seeing the other fulfil and manifest their destiny and purpose."

Love & Covid
When the pandemic first hit, we devised a temporary C-19 service and switched to phone and email.
The upshot was that it allowed for deeper, more meaningful communication and proved highly successful in building rapport between clients and the women we deemed a likely match.
Since the re-opening of private members clubs, bars and restaurants on the 4th July 2020, C-19 is no longer available; but even though clients are once again free to meet their dates in person - in line with government guidelines - we're continuing to offer the choice of being introduced via phone and/or email, at least initially.

NO ONE HOME!
I just couldn’t resist the irony of the title when I began book shopping a few days after the ‘stay at home’ order. It was a good read; intriguing and good company - a bit like myself (she says with a wink and a grin).
I’ve just started reading a non-fiction book called 'Thinking Fast and Slow' by Daniel Kahneman. It explores the basis of our intuitive and rational thinking…how people are so certain they are right and fail to look deeper or more objectively as to why they make their judgements.
I’m also in the middle of Jeffrey Archer’s ‘Heads You Win’. The story explores the parallel lives of a mother who escapes from the Soviet Union with her son after her husband is killed by the KGB. At the point of escape, they have to choose to be smuggled onto one of two ships - one is bound for the UK, the other for the US. Did they make the right choice?
Long ago, someone very dear to me taught me to treat people like books - we’ve all got a story and every story is worth hearing. So, what’s your story?
Until we meet,
Two Halves Made Whole
Ruth & Martin Ginsburg were set up on a blind date during their college days at Cornell, and married soon after graduating.
Professional achievements aside, they became the poster couple for a long, happy and mutually supportive partnership.
"In the course of a marriage, one accommodates the other, so, for example, when Marty was intent on becoming a partner in a New York law firm in five years, during that time, I was the major caretaker of our home and child. But when I started up the ACLU Women's Rights Project, Marty realised how important that work was."
#RIP Ruth & Marty, in each other’s arms, forever.
